Essential Functions
- Manage and execute social media content for The Essex Resort & Spa, Essex Kitchen, The Essex Experience, and Double E.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging social media content across multiple platforms.
- Capture photo and video content showcasing hospitality, dining, spa, retail, entertainment, and special events.
- Monitor social media channels and respond to guest inquiries and engagement in a timely manner.
- Maintain the content calendar and organize marketing assets.
- Coordinate donation requests and sponsorship fulfillment.
- Assist with the creation and updating of marketing materials, including menus, signage, flyers, and Canva-based graphics.
- Support marketing campaigns, events, and promotional initiatives while maintaining brand standards.
Marginal Functions
- Assist with on-property photo and video shoots.
- Support marketing events and community outreach initiatives.
- Perform other marketing and administrative duties as assigned.
Education
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge, Training & Skills
- Experience managing business social media accounts (professional experience required; personal social media experience alone is not sufficient).
- Strong photography and short-form video creation skills.
- Proficiency in Canva is required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) is nice to have!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic graphic design and copywriting skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Work Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in marketing, social media, communications, or related fields.
- Hospitality, tourism, retail, or lifestyle brand experience is preferred.
